Drawing Skills : Figure drawing + Foliage

This was an interesting week as a different approach was used to study human figures.

We learnt how to render human figures without using lines or forms, we used natural light and the shadow created by it. Also, we used layers to show different values.

All parts of hand like fingers, nails, knuckles and palm were used, they give different form.

Further, we also practised human sketching with foliage.

 

The most Important thing I learn from this lecture was that human figure doesn’t need to have proper lines or shapes to represent. Also, I learnt to use kneadable eraser and charcoal.

I have learnt that Human figures can be drawn without measurements.

For drawing human figures, one doesn’t need to make forms visible.

Understanding light and shadow can help to make a thing.
